It’s ridiculous and for me it seems like the author wanted it to be chritsine big-bang thing. Their connection and feeham seemed genuine wand I liked them together.

This makes her recovery, thanks in no small part to Jackson, even more empowering. However, there are a couple of real time scenes that are hard to read.

That being said, the christind of the story that It was extremely hard for me to read this book. She would have to lever her body up, using the power of her legs and catch the edge. Elle also says she learned a lot of tricks from her captor!
She had to time it perfectly. His psychic connection to her was strong and if she reached out to him, she might be able to connect and let him know she where she was being taken.
The first four are solid stories but it seems that Feehan at least in this series had an absolute knack for making secondary characters utterly amazing but then didn’t know what to do with them when they got their own book. He had no idea who he was, but he was dangerous. Her heart jumped at the caution, her mouth going dry.
In my opinion, this is a series with fairly dark subject matter from the beginning. And when Elle fails to arrive, her disappearance strikes fear in the hearts of everyone who loves her.
But we find out that he had been raping her and controlling her unmercifully, forcing her to perform sexual acts with not only him but random men, and she had to ask to use the bathroom and he monitored when she took baths and even went so far as to shave her private parts and whipped her to where she bled, and I was like what in the hell is this doing in a book? Jackson Deveau, taciturn bad boy deputy sheriff of Sea Haven, and a man with whom she has long shared a telepathic connection.
I’m not sure why Ms. The Twilight Before Christmas. She kept her face still, and turned her gaze back to the sea. Fear, anger, astonishment, excitement, anticipation, sex in it’s best form – love, and more.

This was hard to read how beaten she was. Hodden 28, Sabrina rated it did not like it Shelves: If Feehan wanted to write dark novels I have no problem with that.
I kept waiting for this book to get better but instead it droned on and on. Not only that but he wants to break her completely by using pain and there are several descriptions of Elle being tortured and I can tell that some thrillers don’t go as far hiden the descriptions as Feehan went. I think that Ms.
Elle glanced toward his bodyguard. Tell me really who is tortured and sexually abused then is rescued only to have hot passionate loving sex with another man a day chrisfine two later like the previous days were just a nightmare and not reality? I make some allowances for the fact that this is a work of fiction in a genre notorious even amongst its strongest advocates for taking liberties with reality, and also that Elle is a woman of incredible personal and magical strength.
I get there is some leeway with paranormal – psychic healing speeds up the process but this is unacceptable. That would make her feel better about spending these last months working to befriend him and earn his trust.
This book should have at least come with a disclaimer page on the potential disturbing content.
