I might be completely delusional, but I’m holding on to the small glimmer of hope, that when Jane tried to call Leo after he failed to wake from the blood at the first full hunteerhe didn’t answer promptly, but she did wake him. There is some sex but not too much.
Another refreshing change that occurred in this story was that Beast had a much larger part than usual and I loved it. It would have been difficult for anyone reading news, and certainly for a law enforcement officer like Aya, Jane’s brother, to have missed what should have been a giant arrow pointing to her.

I see a the weak points that annoyed my friends, but at the end I was still swept away by the story. To me this isn’t a cliffhanger, but an open one that leaves to the readers’ imagination the future of characters so loved.

I read this book only 10 days ago and can hardly remember the story. All in all, I consider this a good, solid debut novel in the Jane Yellowrock series, and I look forward to reading more. Their voices were not credible on any level — just irritating.
I had trouble understanding her logic—refer to the previous paragraph for another example—or her difficulty to absorb basic information. She skiwnalker a lesson and—after a bout of panic attacks from fear of drowning—discovered she loved the sport.

To complete her job she will have to accept help from wherever she can get it, all while fighting off the Beast within who wants nothing more to take control of the hunt. And maybe the affinity for super-cool automobiles. Skinwalker was a character driven story whose characters are colorful, easily recognizable and associated with real people.
Rick, Leo, Bruiser, take your pick, they are all. Jane gets huntre a complicated stew involving human and vampire rivalries, the ancient vampire-witch conflict, the New Orleans police, and her need to balance her beast and human natures.
