This is an awesome book! Posted in Creative Breakroom. Looking forward to dabbling in some new techniques. Would love to have the rings to do some of the weaves immediately, but have to wait until after the holidays for that. Dozens of projects from beginner to expert with Outstanding step-by-step color photography, this resource made me feel like I took a workshop retreat!

The other critical thing I looked for while reviewing the book is ring size. But I found myself highlighting projects and getting more excited about doing something new than I’ve been in a while, and I picked up a few tips and tricks along the way.

That said, I haven’t run across a book on chainmaille that I thought I could learn a thing or two from. These various techniques will give you a good foundation for weaving chainmaille. She makes this fun and elegant craft accessible for all skill levels. For the beginning student, each section starts with an easy weave and then progresses to intermediate, advanced and expert. I have ordered this book and look forward to reading it cover to cover.

Getting Started Making Metal Jewelry. My congrats on an excellent choice of topic Chainmaille and from what I have seen, excellent writing and photography. This book actually assumes the reader is using pre-made jump rings instead of making them. If I decide to take up this art, it will be a book I look for! I also love the fact that she uses colored rings which adds a never ending variation to the weaves.
